Alyza's New Pictures
Well, actually they are new on the website, but are really older pictures that Mom and Dad took while we were in Hawaii and some that Mom took when we were in Las Vegas visting everybody. But they're still pictures of me and you know you can't resist looking at them...lol. Mom and Nana have some new pictures to get developed and then Papa will put those on the site, too, because I'm changing; I'm growing and smiling a lot now. Dad's just waiting for the final paperwork to clear so he can join us. It looks like we are going to McGuire AFB, New Jersey next (Mom's friend, "Aunt" Maggie, lives there). Can't wait to see Dad again, but we're having fun with Nana and Papa while waiting for him. That's it for now, everybody take care and I'll talk to you later.

Alyza The World Traveler
Wow! Mom and I are really traveling the globe. Mom's journey began in Okinawa (technically, so did mine) in April when she and Dad left for Hawaii to await my official arrival into the world. Mom and I left Hawaii for Las Vegas, Nevada on June 2 to spend some time with Mom's family and had a great time. Yesterday (June 15, 2005) we arrived in Boston, Massachusetts at 6:30 a.m. to spend time with Nana and Papa, who met us at the airport. We drove to their house in Attleboro, Massachusetts (about an hour from Boston) and here we'll stay until Dad comes to join us. Speaking of Dad, he flew back to Okinawa on June 3, 2005 to await our new assignment; he just found out he has been reassigned to McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey (about 4 1/2 hours from Nana and Papa; about 90 minutes from New York City; about 20 minutes from Trenton, New Jersey; and Mom's friend, "Aunt" Maggie, only lives about 45 minutes from McGuire) and will be leaving Okinawa by June 30, 2005 to come join us here in Massachusetts for 2 weeks, then on to New Jersey to set up a new place to live. I'm really excited to be in New England, it's nice and cool (well, too cool, it's June and was only 55 degrees here yesterday but it's warming up again) and green. My Aunt Nikki ("The Princess") is going to visit us from New York while Dad is here. Nana's sister and her kids are also going to visit us from Natick, Massachusetts (a suburb of Boston). I have so many relatives all over the country; I'm overloaded with input. Hope I can remember all the names...lol. That's it for now. We'll be hanging out in Massachusetts until Dad gets here and then on to New Jersey 2 weeks after that. Talk to everyone soon.

Alzya and Mom Are On the Mainland!
Hi everybody! It's official. Little Peanut (that's me) and Mom arrived in Las Vegas this morning at around 9 a.m. I managed to sleep on the plane most of the way from Honolulu to Las Vegas and Mom is very proud of me (of course, we left around midnight Honolulu time so I guess I had to sleep since it was nighttime). We are staying with Mom's Aunt Pam until June 14, when we depart for Massachusetts to stay with Nana and Papa until Dad gets our new assignment and comes to get us. Mom and I are very sad because Dad had to stay in Honolulu until this morning, when he caught a flight back to Okinawa to get everything finalized for our permanent move back to whatever base they assign him to now. We already miss him and wish he was here, but we are very excited to be back on the mainland after the last several hectic weeks in Hawaii and we will see Dad soon. In the meantime, I am going to relax and be pampered and spoiled by Mom's side of the family for a little over a week, then I get to go get spoiled and pampered by Dad's side of the family. It's a rough life but somebody has to put up with it and I guess I was elected...lol. Hope to hear from everybody who lives in the Las Vegas area, you are welcome to come spoil me, too (Mom says not too much, though). Take care everybody.

Quick Update
Hi, everybody. It's me again...not too much new to report. We're all getting very tired of living in a little room while waiting for paperwork to go through so Mom and I can come back to the mainland and Dad can go back to Okinawa to get our stuff packed and shipped. But we're together and that's what really counts. We'll keep everyone posted as to what's going on and when they can expect us back. Take care.

I'm Doing Great!
I had my first well baby checkup on Monday, May 16, 2005. I'm gaining weight like I'm supposed to and the doctor says I am doing very well indeed. I am still keeping Mom and Dad on their toes (meaning, I'm making sure they don't get much sleep, but then, they ARE supposed to be paying attention to me...lol). I am very well behaved when we go out to dinner or to a store; I save my fussiness and attitude for when we are having alone time in our room at the Tripler Guest Quarters. I think it's driving Mom and Dad nuts (as Nana would say, "It's working"). Dad is still running around all over the place, got my birth certificate, getting my Social Security card (if we would have been going back to Okinawa, he would also have had to take me in for a passport photo and get me a passport, being that I am such a world traveler, but Mom and I aren't going back to Okinawa, so I don't need the passport...maybe someday) and working on getting the paperwork done so Mom and I can return to the United States early. He is also working on his reassignment so we can all be together again somewhere, we just don't know where at the moment. But it's coming together, slowly but surely. Eventually everybody will be able to see me in person and make a fuss over me...just kidding...or maybe not! Aloha for now (we're still in Hawaii, so I can still say it).

I'm In Yahoo...AND Google!
Wow, my world-wide presence is really expanding. People from all over the world are talking to me on my blog (like Nana in Massachusetts; Great Grandma and Grandpa in Nebraska; Aunt Nikki in New York; Steve in Iraq - come home safe, Steve; "Aunt" Maggie; and more) . Now if you go to http://www.yahoo.com and do a Yahoo search for Alyza Rose...there I am. Go to http://www.google.com, search for Alyza Rose and there I am again! (Papa said, and I quote, "Ain't nobody better be googling my granddaughter if they know what's good for them!" Papa is so funny sometimes. Guess we're back to that contact sport stuff again...sigh). Mom and Dad took me on my first official trip to Wal-Mart the other day (Mom is a Wal-Mart junkie, whatever that means; I think it means she needs help, does anybody know if there is a Wal-Mart Rehab Center anywhere?) and since just about everything they bought was for me, the receipt and one of the bags is going in my baby book...oh, boy! Thanks, Mom. You don't know how much that means to me...or will after you explain it to me...
